The Star's Lash is a one-page sci-fi adventure for the 5 Million Worlds Space Adventure RPG.
The interplanetary Valus-Sys society is on the brink of collapse. They interfered with the ancient Ansible, causing cascading failures which fractured the station's ability to maintain the containment field suppressing the system's volatile flare star. The Flare Storms have ravaged Valus-Sys for decades.
The Avatars arrive in system at a crucial moment. What can they do before the next Solar Flare Storm wreaks havoc again?
This adventure is a submission to Sci-Fi One-Shot Jam 2024: Stellar Phenomena, and first appeared in the June 2024 edition of the 5MW Rokaner Report newsletter.
